Project Details
Description
The aim of this study is to examine the factors influencing and the effects of digital pedagogies in the ACT during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study will involve the examination of digital engagement, school climate, professional development, and demographic data provided by the ACT directorate; interviews with teachers and students about their pre-, during, and post-COVID-19 digital experiences; and content analyses of digital classrooms. The research will be carried out in collaboration with key teachers at two high schools (Alfred Deakin and Amaroo) and one college (UC Lake Ginninderra). These schools were chosen from a list of recommendations provided after consultation with the ACT directorate team. Outcomes of this research will provide clearer understandings of the use of digital resources in ACT classrooms and the shifts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that lead to current pedagogical implementations.
