Description
‘The Biodiversity Council: bringing transformative change through public awareness and empowerment' - established by University of Melbourne, contributions by UC to become a founding member.
The Program aims to deliver a leading, trusted, independent, expert voice for biodiversity knowledge in Australia to be known as the Biodiversity Council, establishing the principal vehicle through which critical biodiversity and First Nations expertise will reach the Australian public, government decision-makers and business leaders. It is intended to be a platform for communications, to build partnerships and to seek champions to promote the opportunities and pathways needed to address the biodiversity crisis currently facing Australia, and to support Australia’s plants, animals, cultural species, and ecosystems to prosper.
