Project Details
Description
Strategies will be conducted to develop effective technologies to optimise immunity induced by orally administered antigens. These include increasing the efficiency of antigen uptake by M-cells, increasing M-cell (and lymphoid) mass in the intestine and the development of an antigen release technology to release antigen in proportion to the M-cell mass along the intestine. This proposal aims to overcome this problem at the fundamental level and provide a generic basis for vaccine formulation by the oral route.
