Project Details
Description
The Swimmer's Phenomics Project aims to develop metabolic and epigenetic profiling capacity, and associated educational materials, across Australian high-performance swimming to guide individualised training prescription, post-exercise recovery and nutrition protocols. This work will equip coaches and sport scientists to better prepare swimmers for elite competition. Metabolic, and epigenetic profiling methods can be expanded to other Olympic sports with the end goal of yielding a performance advantage for Australian athletes in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
