Project Details
Description
Significant increases in recent and planned low earth orbit satellite launches have generated an urgent need for increases in the number of high-quality radio ground stations to track and control them. The heritage 10m radio telescope on the University of Canberra (UC) campus is a high-quality instrument that can be restored and upgraded to service this need, thus retaining the tangible aspects of the telescope, reactivating its intangible heritage of experimentation and innovation, and applying it to modern commercial, educational and research needs.
