Using eDNA to track the cane toad invasion front

The key objectives will be to determine how well the assay works in the field and look at the factors that affect the sensitivity of the assay. Broadly, we will aim to sample 40 water bodies including 10 ahead of the toad front and 30 behind the front (i.e. occupied by toads) and examine factors such as different toad densities (ponds with just a few toads at the front versus many toads at well-established ponds), the size of the ponds and how turbid the water is.
