Using Genomics to Infer Population Dynamics of Rare Species

The goal for this project is to test genomic methods for inferring population histories of threatened species against known demographic histories. Meeting this aim will provide advance the potential for further understanding into how the application of population genomics can potentially be applied into conservation management providing an approach that is complementary to more traditional ways of monitoring endangered species and providing a temporal perspective that cannot be gained where monitoring has not previously occurred.
