Using new DNA approaches to survey foxes in Tasmania for targeting eradication and monitoring the changes in distribution and abundance of all large carnivores - Project 2 under 2012000355

The fox in Tasmania poses the most dramatic new threat to livestock agriculture and Tasmania's unique assemblage of mammalian wildlife for over a century. This project will undertake a comprehensive survey of predator scats and will train selected local groups in the identification and collection of predator scats and then coordinate those groups in a systematic collection across Tasmania.
