Rhonda Wheate will present a paper reporting on empirical research utilising mock jurors, real jurors, and the views of forensic scientists from all states and territories of Australia. This research updates what is currently known about actual jurors in the Australian criminal justice system and should contribute to future plans to develop further research to improve the use and comrehension of scientific evidence in Australian courts. It is drawn from her Doctoral research which was recently submitted to UNSW.
