Abstract

This is a catalogue essay outlining my curatorial approach to the exhibition Promised the Moon. As the curator, I selected and worked with 12 contemporary artists who were asked to respond creatively to the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing and Canberra's role in that historic mission. The work they produced resulted in an exhibition that received extensive local and national media attention.
