Abstract

Although research has suggested that authentic leadership is linked to innovation, little is known about the mechanisms through which authentic leadership contributes to innovation ambidexterity. Building on the authentic leadership and ambidexterity literature, this research develops a model to examine the mediating effects of facet-specific climate- team inclusive climate on the relationship between authentic leadership and team innovation ambidexterity. Using data collected by a questionnaire survey of 464 team members and 111 team leaders across 43 organizations in Taiwan, our findings suggest that authentic leadership promote team innovation ambidexterity by creating team inclusive climate. The findings in this research are helpful in unlocking the relationship between authentic leadership and innovation ambidexterity.
