Abstract
Bond University aims to become a major new centre for research and teaching in communication studies and journalism. This paper describes the communication environment of the University and the courses that will be offered. The paper argues that Bond University offers special challenges and opportunities for students of communication studies, both because of the cultural mix of the student and staff population and the emphasis on new technology in the teaching/learning process
