    Abstract

    The University of Canberra has completed a study and produced a report Building professionals' and homeowners' perceptions of the NSW Building Sustainability Index (BASIX).

    The study involved separate surveys of BASIX Thermal Comfort Assessors and other building professional users of BASIX, and of householders.

    Overall, respondents considered BASIX has been effective in reducing residential energy and water consumption, but saw the need for some improvements.
