Abstract
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the proceedings of the First International Workshop on Cognitive Distributed Computing and Networking (CDCN 2012) held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on Algorithms and Architecture for Parallel Processing (ICA3PP-12) in Fukuoka, Japan, September 4–7, 2012. The CDCN Workshop focuses on major research streams in algorithms and architectures for various types of processing. This workshop offers researchers a good opportunity to present their work in a more focused way than the main conference itself and to obtain feedback from the community interested in the focused theme areas.
