Abstract
The project aimed to develop a rights ‐based framework that provided a consistent, coordinated, joined – up response across all relevant agencies in order to prevent and address the issues of abuse and harm to vulnerable older people. The envisaged framework would promote and preserve the rights of older people, enabling them to live as autonomously as possible while delivering a respectful intervention to assist where the older persons are not able to safeguard themselves.
