Abstract
2016 was a great year for the Cross Cultural Design Lab. The Lab was founded in early 2015 and continues to go from strength to strength. Beginning with the launch
of the lab in March 2015 with a lecture on ‘Design History of China’ by Professor
Souzhi Wang (CKAD, Shantou University), we went on to win local and international
prizes for our design prototypes at the InnovAGE Hackathon in Canberra and AidEx
Innovation Challenge in Belgium and facilitated two overseas tours to China and
Japan.
