Abstract

The primary objective of the economic impact evaluation is to deliver trustworthy, reliable and conservative financial estimates of the direct economic impact (in terms of expenditures and revenues) of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) to the Gold Coast region. The economic impact evaluation aims to provide an updated evaluation of the SCIBS from the 2013 Economic Impact Statement provided by the City of Gold Coast and the 2008 Economic
Impact Study undertaken by Griffith University in 2008. Using these studies as baseline data sources, Griffith University has undertaken an evaluation of data provided by Mulpha Australia Ltd on the economic value of the 2019 Boat Show. Griffith University has used the 2019 data to provide an updated economic impact evaluation of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
