Abstract
Faded Crush was a solo exhibition exploring themes of fandom, popular culture and celebrity, including vernacular responses and representations of iconic musical personalities and themes. The show comprised 3 bodies of work: a series of prints, a series of cyanotypes and a video. All three use the technique of collage to repurpose 'found' materials, and draw upon pop art to consider contemporary relationships between the everyday and the iconic, superstardom and the performance of fandom.
