Abstract
A literary translation of the poem God's Child by Japanese poet Arai Takako. The poem appears in Arai's Ooka Makoto Prize-winning collection Oshirakosama-kibun (Genki-Shobō, 2024). The poem references the Pasolini film Pigsty, as well as an Ainu tradition of raising and then sacrificing a sacred bear.
