Abstract

In this chapter, we present the design charrette, an approach to planning which gives local communities the opportunity to become more climate resilient through collaborative design. A design charrette is defined as:a collaborative design and planning workshop that occurs over four to seven consecutive days, is held on-site and includes all affected stakeholders at critical decision-making points.
