N2 - The integration of wearable technology has paved the way for innovative approaches to enhancing the music listening experience. This study introduces a haptic wristband designed to provide a tactile representation of music, allowing users to feel it directly on their wrist. The wristband leverages the DRV2605L Haptic Motor Driver and the Nordic nRF52840 microcontroller to translate musical elements into vibrations, offering a novel multisensory music experience. Our research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of this wristband in enriching the music-listening experience at home. We conducted a pilot study with 10 participants, employing an interview to assess the clarity of music representation, impact on music enjoyment, user comfort, and overall satisfaction. The study's findings suggest that the haptic wristband has the potential to improve home music listening by providing an immersive and tactile music experience. The results also highlight areas for improvement and future research directions, contributing to the growing literature on multisensory music experiences.
