N2 - In the first of this month’s feature articles, Lindlein and co-workers report the impact on running economy of an eight week transition from normal running shoes to a minimalist shoe design. In the second report in this section, Maylor and co-workers suggest that interrupting prolonged sitting with a high intensity activity is significantly more effective than continuous moderate activity on modifying postprandial lipaemic effects. In the final feature article, Simon and Docherty, suggest that middle aged adults with a history of ankle instability display decreased health related quality of life.
