Abstract
When undertaking research or when wanting to find out more about a topic, either as a student or as a professional radiographer/radiologic technologist, evidence-based information is needed. All professions, including medical imaging/medical radiation science, must use evidence-based information, not hearsay. Also, clinical and research decisions should not be based on approaches such as “that is the way we have always done it”. The patient is at the center of the medical imaging/medical radiation science role. These clinical professions need to ensure that practices are evidence-based to provide the best outcome for the patient.
