Abstract
The difference in the observed effectiveness rates between differents methadone maintenance programs is due, between others factors, by clients seventy at the admission point, the mean doses, the retention rates and by types and numbers of care units (i e, number of individual or grupal clinical sessions). Some of the relationships between this elements exists by differents interventions procedures. This procedures are influenced by methadone clinician's conceptions about this programs. The aim of this paper is to analyze the internal consistency of the spanish versions of three short scales to the assessment this attributes the Abstinence Orientation Scale, the Disapproval of Drug Use Scale and the Methadone Knowledge Scale. For this reason, with this scales we interviewed 40 clinicians working in different programs. The observed rate of Cronbach' Alpha is 0 72 for AOS and 0 61 for DDUS We observed poor relation between 'abstinence-oriented' strategy and knowledge levels We discuss the practical implications of this findings.
