Abstract

The article presents the results of exploratory research into visitors' experiences and expectations that was conducted on Mount Kosciuszko in New South Wales during Easter 2005. It cites the three key questions that the research aims to address including the types of people visiting the mountain. It offers information on Kosciuszko National Park (KNP) which is said to be the largest national park in the state. It also provides the definition of wilderness, backcountry and front country
