Abstract

Prose poetry combines narrative and the lyric gesture, which allows exploration of human experience in a moment of time. Poetry in any form is associated with the expression of heightened emotion, and as such is routinely drawn on in crisis or trauma; this is one of a series of poems I wrote as creative interventions during 2020's catastrophic bushfires and pandemic.
