    Abstract

    The recently established International Poetry Studies Institute at the university of Canberra is committed to building connections with poets and poetry studies around the world. Part of its aim is generating new research into poetry is to facilitate the production of new poems, to generate new interpretation of poems, and to stimulate various forms of poetic cross-fertilisation. It intends to assist poets to speak more confidently and more frequently across cultures, and to interact more often with artists from around the world.
