Abstract
The combined effect of capture ratio and number of transmission on the performance of a slotted ALOHA based wireless access network is analyzed. The network quality parameters are evaluated to investigate the effect of lowering the capture ratio and increasing the number of transmission. It is found that the slotted ALOHA based access network shows its stable operation in low capture environment even if the retransmission cut-off is increased. As a result the success rate of accessing the core network is improved.
