Abstract
This paper analyzes the politics of women's participation in South Asia. It explores international obligations of states as well as the rights guaranteed in the constitutional of South Asian states. The paper examines women's presence in the respective parliaments, quotas noting that despite all these frameworks in place, women are still lagging behind.
