Abstract

The article discusess the relationship between national and international criminal justice, along with how complementarity principle of the Rome Statute regulates the correlation between the International Criminal Court and national legal orders. Topics include implementing complementarity principle of the Rome Statute in African Union; challenges faced in domestic implementation of the same; and enactment of International Criminal Court Act which governs international criminal law.
