Abstract
Sports corruption is defined (having regard to the definitions outlined by Ordway and Opie (2016), Miller (2018) and others), as is the related term of 'trust'. Chapter 1 discusses the usefulness of case studies for teaching and learning, both for students and for practitioners. The types of ‘problems’ and ‘solutions’ outlined in the book are canvassed. Deliberate strategic decision to invite multidisciplinary chapter authors from a range of countries with an emphasis on gender, cultural and age diversity (24 contributors in total, working out of 10 countries). Intended to highlight the work of Early Career Researchers. Their brief was to focus on anti-corruption solutions through broad range of sports demonstrated via individual case studies, featuring different types of corrupt conduct.
