    Abstract

    This chapter describes how practical knowledge about work integrated learning was developed amoung academic staff through a University wide project to imbed WIL into educational practice. The model of distributive leadership was applied within a communities of practice framework: the authors reflections on the project and other imperical data are analyised to describe this innovation.
