Ribbons often accompany significant occasions. I am drawn to paint objects like these that have the capacity to hold stories and connect us with people, places and events. More than just material objects they are tokens of ceremony, memory, and intergenerational love—capable of binding, loosening, and releasing stories of hope and kindness.
