While environmental sustainability in regional Australia has gained lots of government and non-government organizations' attention, in practice, many sustainable programs did not sustain for long term in regional areas for lack of resources, vague market segmentation and fund unavailability. Thus, the study develops a research agenda emphasizing on social businesses to attract inbound business visitor segment using open sourced national visitor survey data by Tourism Research Australia. If successful, increased regional income will generate more economic involvement for the local community and will impact on the quality of their lives.
