N2 - In the first of this month’s feature articles Rochefort and colleagues, in a report of a case control study of adolescents, found issues with worse balance measures one month post concussion whether or not they reported balance issues. In the second feature article Bellow’s group, in a longitudinal study, found at risk pre-schoolers to be already behind in motor skill development prior to entering first grade. In the third feature article Till and co-workers suggest that age, maturity and size, common factors in adolescent selection processes, don’t correlate with career attainment.
