Statin-induced myopathy

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Statins are widely used for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Several large clinical trials have demonstrated that by lowering LDL-cholesterol clinical events (eg myocardial infarction, stroke, and vasuclar death) can be reduced when statins are commenced in most patients without contraindications who have established cardiovascular disease.
