Abstract

A critical review of literature has helped identify the research gap of lacking of research framework to study firm-level innovation capability comprehensively and how it impacts SME performance. Based upon resources based view, the researchers came up with a novel conceptual framework integrating firm-level innovation capability and its impact on SME firm performance through innovation process (the creation of innovation). Theory and practical implications were discussed and the significance of this study was presented. Future direction was outlined.
