Abstract
This chapter situates the two federal leadership spills on 21 and 24 August 2018 in the context of the revolving door of Australian prime ministers and the implications of this for the current state of Australian politics. This issue has led many to see Australia as the coup capital of the world and has contributed to a great deal to the lack of trust citizens have in their government.
