Abstract
Prose poetry combines narrative and the lyric gesture, which allows exploration of human experience in a moment of time. Poetry in any form is associated with the expression of heightened emotion, and as such is routinely drawn on in crisis; the catastrophic bushfires of early 2020 are such a crisis, and volumes such as this one were designed to intervene in the trauma experienced during the fires.
