Pregnancy and parenthood have been described as “teachable moments” – naturally occurring life transitions or events that motivate people to make positive health and lifestyle changes.

A collaboration with a focus on maternal and child wellbeing.
Who
A multi disciplinary team from the Faculty of Health UC: psychology, nursing, pharmacy, midwifery, sport and exercise science, pharmacy, speech pathology and optometry.
How
With a salutogenic approach. We ask, “what makes you well”? Not “what makes you ill?” Partnering with service users.
Why
Optimising health and wellbeing of mothers and their infants ensure the best possible start to life and parenthood
