Abstract

This year marks the twentieth year that the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport has been bringing its readership the best of the world’s research in sports sciences and medicine. To celebrate this milestone a special virtual issue of the Journal bringing together the top twenty cited and downloaded articles has been created and is accessible at http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/14402440/. The special edition editorial by the past editors of the Journal is also reprinted in the December 2017 issue to mark the occasion.
