Abstract

The aim of this study is the optimization of a psychiatric assessment system (GHQ-28 - CIS) for «cases» identification in a worker population from a large company in Cádiz (Spain). This system has alredy been validated in general population and primary care units. We pursue the establishment of a standardized methodology that include psychosocial variables as important factors for general health of workers. A study of the utility of the CIS items and predictive validity of GHQ-28 have been performed. The results suggest the adecuation of the GHQ-28 and CIS for sistematic evaluation use in the worker population that has been evaluated.
