Abstract
Previously constrained by the economics of networks, the rollout of broadband internet has revolutionized video distribution over the last quarter-century to expand delivery options and choice for consumers. The disruption to decades-long norms remains in the process of remarkable transformation as the expansion in the field of advertising has challenged historical funding streams, the dynamics of sustainable streaming businesses have yet to materialize, and the new field of technologically differentiated services remains a challenge for policymakers.
