Abstract
Patient centred care and holistic approaches are considered essential to providing quality healthcare. Although, benefits are derived from collaborative approach these concepts are often not adhered to in a nocturnal clinical setting, whereby sleep quality is commonly compromise. In order to achieve a patient centred approach to care there is a need to acknowledge sleep as an important component to supporting recovery.
