Abstract
One day, a brave politician decided to test the use of broadband to give citizens a voice. A voice in cyberspace but a voice no less.
It happened in a large regional town that poses as the national capital. A town where 40 kilometres away you can't even get TV, let alone broadband. It was a shaky beginning for Public Sphere 2.0.
You could almost hear the groans: 'We don't need broadband. The nanny state exists because the people do not know enough to have a voice. Who wants to know what someone had for breakfast anyway?'
