Abstract
3 essays engaging with Adorno’s ‘Essay as Form’, tacking between art and scholarship. Each explores the topic signalled and reveals how essay form itself enables creative engagement.
‘Writing up’: creatively engaging with scholarly reading and writing to illustrate the process of constructing sense through sensory engagement.
In keeping with Adorno’s perspectives, simultaneously committed to intellectual inquiry through treatment of facts and the significance of responsive experience. ‘Writing up’ describes and models a praxis, contributing to pedagogies of undergraduate academic and postgraduate exegetical writing by demonstrating how to iteratively discover questions whilst extracting insights.
An invited contribution. ‘Writing up’: part of series ECU Researchers on Writing inspired by Durham University’s Writing on Writing project.
