Abstract
Judith Hackitt investigates the way IChemE ensures that all its members get the service they expect. Its membership is becoming diverse as IChemE becomes increasingly international. IChemE membership has grown significantly from 1999, as IChemE's membership continued to expand outside the UK and into Malaysia. It is making efforts to ensure that members from different countries get the required service that they expect after accepting its membership. There are significant issues and concerns that need to be addressed to provide the required service to its members. Significant changes have been introduced in IChemE after its establishment on December 21, 1922. IChemE and its membership have become more international and diverse while the engineering challenges that face the profession have become more global and varied.
